Razor Blades, how often you should replace them

Razor Blades – Keep It Sharp

Razor blades don’t last forever, ideally, they should be swapped out every 5 to 10 shaves. (5 for coarse stubble and 10 for medium to average stubble)

Can’t remember when you last changed yours? No judgment, we’ve all been there. Most guys have probably shaved with a blade that’s seen better days (and cringed halfway through when it started tugging instead of cutting).

# Why Sharp Blades Matter

The last thing you want is to drag a blunt blade across your face — especially if you’ve got sensitive skin. A sharp blade is the key to a smooth, close, and irritation-free shave. Over time, blades lose their edge and, worse, they start collecting gunk and bacteria. Keep using them too long, and you’re inviting all sorts of nasties like razor burn, cuts, ingrown hairs, or even infections.

If your razor has built-up grime that just won’t rinse away, it’s time to bin it immediately, your skin will thank you.

# Why We Hang Onto Razor Blades Longer Than We Should?

Let’s be real, the price of cartridge replacement blades is absurd. That’s why so many guys push their blades way past their prime. But every extra shave you try to squeeze out of a dull blade is a gamble with your skin. And it just ain't worth it.
